Tribulations of a Dragon

Kira is pretty happy in life, living mostly sheltered while studying. Things are pretty great as she spends most days just hanging out with friends and preparing for life. Having grown up in a peaceful city with her loving parents, she doesn't have much to worry about at all. Unfortunately, that happy life is cut short, but it isn't the end of Kira as she soon stumbles upon new challenges to overcome. Waking up in a strange place is bad, waking up with an unfamiliar body makes it worse. Now Kira must learn to navigate this unknown land as she tries to get her head straight. This story will cover her troubles, victories, and many things in between. The prologue takes place in Kira's Origin Home and chapter one is the Sword and Sorcery reality she'll come to know. We'll discover the world through Kira and the people she meets, with some chapters focusing on others. I don't intend to rush this story, so it might take a bit to get rolling. I will add content warnings to each chapter, but do mind the story content warnings, they will come into play. The chapters will typically be 5-6k each later on. What to expect: Dragon shenanigans. Personal turmoil. Slow burn. First person present tense. Fantasy World. What not to expect: Dragon turning into human. Romance. Combat every chapter.
