Chronicles of an Isekai'd Legion: For the Glory of Rome
Community Rating
Description
Ripped away from the battlefield, Tiberius and his six thousand Roman Legionnaires unexpectedly find themselves stranded in a foreign land of magic and witchcraft. With no way home, their path forward is obvious: conquer everything in sight.
Much to the chagrin of Marcus—the poor, unsuspecting bard who summoned them.
But taking over the world is not so easy. In order to stake their claim, the Legion will need to learn how to navigate the strange magics and abilities this new world has granted them. Abilities which, upon closer inspection, may prove the seed for a legend in the making…
The dawn of a new empire looms on the horizon. Rome will rise anew as they seize cities, battle armies, and expand their territory across this strange and fantastical world. All the while, Marcus will need to figure out how to mitigate the force of nature he's unleashed upon his woefully unprepared world. That, or simply enjoy the front row seat to an epic in the making. Someone will need to tell the story, and who better aside from him?
The die has been cast. The aqueducts are being built. And Rome will once more see glory.

Man RR is like a riverbed, mostly muck and stone. Every once in a while, though, you find some gold. The premise and style so far of the story is top notch, and the history seems accurate as far as I know. I can tell aqueducts are gonna be a main theme/joke, and I’m all for it, as well as general Roman awesomeness. I hope the author doesn’t drop the story. I feel that once more chapters are released, this could be one of the great ones.

A really entertaining take of the genre! Follow the adventures of a stranded Roman Legion in a world full of magic and forgotten secrets, how they adapt, how they grow, and how even in another world, Rome must grow! Glory to Rome!Long live the great and eternal Roman Empire!!

The story is off to a promising start! So far I see a lot of attention to detail regarding the organisation of an actual roman legion. Probably some liberties have been taken but that's fair enough.Looking forward to seeing them bring civilization to all these uncultured isekai barbarians 🤣.Roma invicta!

A unique concept change, at least for myself, progression so far at chapter 39 feels smooth, generally quite engaging even at slower points and there were several sections that pulled at my emotions as well and really got me invested.well done word smith, may the story continue to flow and let all know the glory of Rome!

There's a lot of potential here for the future. So far it seems written pretty well, with good characterisation, and good research done about Roman tactics. It makes me want to keep going, to see how much further they get and if the Romans can build up an army and train them similar to them, as one legion wouldn't be enough to conquer a kingdom.

This story has actual dialog and character development. Also there are tactics involved and more independent and realistic battle scenes. The author hasn't gone the way of making the characters so over powered that your told a 100 attacks happen in a single second.Still in the infancy of this story but looking forward to what is to come

First chapter had me hooked, second chapter had me come write a review solely for the chapter title.I'll make an advanced review when I've finished actually reading the story but so far this deserves the praise I'm giving it of 5 *.Gloria Por Roma!So I've got to make this at least 50 words long. The first spear leading his legion after immediately taking out any threats is so well done, most people don't realize how well trained the roman chain of command truly was and this was an excellent intro.

While it is certainly entertaining there is to much PoV switch for my liking. I understand the Bard and various Legionaries, but we have third part pov every few chapters, and it gets tedious quickly. While it is a world building, it is not to my personal liking. It would be way better to hear about the reasons for kingdom lackluster response as form of gossip or interrogation after capture of some enemy officers than to have dedicated explanation chapters.

Grammar is fine, worldbuilding is good from what we've been shown and the storycrafting holds up. Action sequences are a little odd with how the invaluable pila is never used.Especially as it would have made the spider fight significantly easier.Same with the lack of cogonems. First names weren't used too often compared to the cogonem.Edit: WE'RE SO BACK PILA BROS

While the book is still in its infancy I've been quite enjoying it this far.Being a big fan of Roman military novels and an avid Web Novel reader, that's maybe not a big surprise. The book is well written and the pacing while slow at certain points isn't too far off. The only thing that's perhaps lacking is character development which could have done better - though I know it's always one of the hardest elements to get right.Either way I'm looking forward to many more chapters to come!
